A Young Man Inspired by a Dream
In 1969, inspired by a dream, a determined young man set out to unite the city of Omaha. Following in the footsteps of his great-grandmother, who left Dermott, Arkansas, seeking a better life free from prejudice, he brings a legacy of resilience and hope. A Marine Corps veteran, a 17-year steward for Teamsters 554, and a passionate advocate for disability rights and mental health, he now looks forward to serving Omaha as a mayoral candidate in 2025. His grandfather’s legacy as a Black conductor for Union Railroad underscores his deep-rooted connection to Omaha’s history and its future.

With over 21 years of experience in dealing with special needs individuals, Dr. TL Brewer’s compassionate nature shines through. As a proud Union Steward for Local 554, Dr. TL Brewer has spent 17 years advocating for the rights and well-being of workers. His strong leadership and negotiation skills have brought about positive changes, ensuring fair treatment and safe working conditions for countless employees.

For 28 years, Dr. TL Brewer has served as a pastor, guiding his congregation with empathy, wisdom, and a deep sense of responsibility. This experience has honed his ability to listen, empathize, and bring people together, qualities that are essential for effective leadership in any capacity.
Dr. TL Brewer dedicated 23 years to the International Church of God in Christ Adjutancy, with 11 of those years as the esteemed Chief Adjutant for the Nebraska Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the guidance of Bishop Joseph Shannon.
Dr. TL Brewer’s commitment extends to his personal life as well. Celebrating 41 years of marriage, he understands the importance of building strong relationships and working together to overcome challenges.

With four degrees in public administration, including a Ph.D., his extensive knowledge in the field equips him to address the complex issues facing our city.
